The Mercrusier in this report is developing a ring problem due to
contamination from its cooling system. This showed up in the sodium level (from salt-water or regular anti-freeze). We can also tell if oil has been damaged by
moisture contamination, even if the engine does not use sodium as a coolant. This is useful in engines that use fresh water lakes and rivers for their cooling.
