A report showing a sample of hydraulic fluid from a backhoe that had water contamination in it. The water caused excessive oxidation of the oil and wear metals were excessive.
A sample of gear lube from a differential that was wearing poorly at first (perhaps due to poor maintenance) that is now wearing much better, thanks to a little TLC.
An oil report from a gearbox where the owner sampled because he wanted to know whether the oil was contaminated by water or hydraulic fluid. It turned out neither contaminant was present, but we did advise the owner to change the oil due to excessive metal accumulation and a thick viscosity reading.
