Description
The specific gravity test determines the density of a fluid in relation to water. Pure water has a specific gravity of 1. Anything that is lighter than water (or will float on water – like oil) will have a specific gravity of less than 1. Anything that is heavier than water will have a specific gravity greater than 1.
This test is included with our standard analysis for gasoline and diesel fuel.
Minimum amount of oil required: 50 ml
