Description
Add a Particle Count (PC) and a Total Acid Number (TAN) to your standard analysis. These tests are calibrated for industrial applications like gear oil and hydraulic oil. Not typically used for engine oil.
Not all oils start out with a TAN of 0.0. Oil can get more, or less, acidic as it’s used, so it’s helpful to know where a virgin sample starts before running a TAN.
The Particle Count breaks down the number of particles present in a sample at various levels of microns. It’s mainly for industrial machinery.
